Birkebeiner times 2 for Musgrave
This Saturday (17th March) saw the highlight of distance racing in Norway when the Birkebeiner-renn took place over the 54km between Rena and Lillehammer. The race is based on the legend of the wartime escape of the infant king of Norway in 1205 when he was carried across these mountains to safety.
