BBC interview with Andrew Musgrave

While members of the GB team and younger BNDS members are competing in Switzerland and Austria (news and results to follow), Andrew Musgrave is recuperating after a bout of 'flu and hoping to be fit for the World Championships which start in 10 days time.  Meanwhile he has been interviewed by the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/winter-sports/21394021 

   

Sochi success for GB

altThe cross-country trails at next year's Olympic venue were shrouded in mist for their inaugural event, World Cup freestyle sprints.  Temperatures hovered just below zero with fine snow falling and at times the television cameras had difficulty picking up the skiers as the mist came and went.  Britain was represented by Andrew and Posy Musgrave - Andrew Young had gone down with a throat infection a couple of days earlier...

World Cup at Olympic Venue

altThree members of Team GB are two hours drive from Sochi, Russia for three days of World Cup races.  This will be the first international event to be held at next year's Olympic Games cross-country venue.

Biathlon success

Congratulations to former BNDS member, Calum Irvine, on some fantastic results at the World Junior Biathlon Championships.  Racing against more than 100 of the best Youth biathletes in the world he finished 21st in the 7.5km sprint on the first day of competition which qualified him for the pursuit race where he came 38th.  Then in the final 12.5km event today he finished 33rd.  Congratulations also to his Cairngorm...

World Under 23 Skiathlon - Two GB top 30's again

altThe morning sky in Liberec was clear with the rising sun giving a rosy glow off the hills - but then the clouds rolled in and the normal order of things was restored.
